We are pleased to welcome our new Groomer, Dave Welsh to the Festival Veterinary Clinic Staff.  Dave earned his professional certification from the Baltimore School of Dog Grooming in 1999 and brings 15 years of professional grooming experience to our team.  He has strong knowledge in the pet industry, with previous experience as a veterinary technician and kennel shop manager.  Dave will offer a wide range of pet grooming services.   He will provide full grooming or bath and brush only.  All grooming services include a nail trim, ear cleaning and anal gland expression if applicable.

Our gentle professional grooming staff takes great care to make your pet as comfortable as possible during their stay.  Because your pet will share the grooming area with other pets, we require evidence of current vaccination status.  Required vaccines are listed below:

Dogs:  Rabies, Distemper, Leptospirosis, Canine Influenza and Bordetella

Cats:  Rabies and Distemper

For a full description of our required vaccines, please click here

When you schedule your appointment, the receptionist will review your pet’s vaccination status.  If vaccinations are needed, we will make arrangements to update vaccines before your pet grooming appointment is scheduled. At the time of your appointment, you will usually have an opportunity to speak with the groomer so that you may give any instructions as to your grooming preferences.  The groomer will call you when your pet is ready to go home, which is usually in the mid to late afternoon.

Sometimes, for the safety of your pet and our grooming staff, it is necessary to sedate your pet for grooming.  The veterinarian will administer the anesthetic and each pet will be monitored individually by a veterinary assistant.  This must be scheduled in advance and the reception staff will have special pre-sedation instructions.  Additionally, pets older than 7 years of age will require blood testing prior to sedation.  The blood work is done to make sure that your pet is healthy enough to undergo sedation.  The need for these services will result in additional fees.

Grooming services are available Monday through Friday
Please call to schedule an appointment.
