Puppy Wellness Exams

• We recommend wellness exams at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 16 weeks.
• At these examinations, our veterinarians monitor growth and overall health, while also providing all necessary vaccines.
• We are more than happy to answer any questions regarding training, house training, and overall health.
• Please bring a fecal sample to each wellness exam.

Puppy Vaccines

• Vaccines are performed at certain points in a young puppy’s life, so be mindful of where you take a young puppy prior to receiving vaccines. Avoid boarding facilities and dog parks until they are fully vaccinated
• Core Vaccines: distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus, and rabies, canine influenza.
• Non-core vaccines: Bordetella, leptospirosis.

We offer a complete nose to tail comprehensive examination to make sure your new puppy grows to be as happy and healthy as possible.

Kitten Wellness Exams

• Kitten wellness exams are recommended at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 16 weeks.
• At these examinations, our veterinarians monitor growth and overall health, while also providing all necessary vaccines.
• We are more than happy to answer any questions regarding training, house training, and overall health.
• Please bring a fecal sample to each wellness exam.

Kitten Vaccines

• Keep your kitten at home until they are fully vaccinated.
• Core vaccines: distemper, rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and rabies.
• Non-core vaccines: feline leukemia, feline immunodeficiency virus, and feline infectious peritonitis.

Multi-Cat Households

For households with multiple cats, we recommend testing new kittens for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus before introducing them to other cats at home. These diseases can spread between cats very easily, so we want to make sure everyone stays healthy.

It is not always easy introducing a kitten to your other cats at home. Cats can be very territorial, so do not rush the process. Keep the kitten separate from other cats at first and allow them to smell each other through a door. Then introduce them while they are in separate carriers.
